The Flight Engineering Capability is an exciting organizational element in Boeing Defense, Space & Security responsible for Flight Engineering work statements.
Boeing is recruiting for an Experienced Propulsion Engineer to accomplish propulsion system support and analysis as part of a larger flight science team in either Berkeley, MO or Las Vegas, NV.
Position Responsibilities:
Accomplish propulsion system support and analysis as part of a larger flight science team
Support test planning and development
Travel to support work requirements
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience working in Fuel Systems or Propulsion Systems
Experience with jet engines and/or fuel system mechanical operation fundamentals
Ability to travel to support work requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Top Secret Clearance
Propulsion ground and flight test
Propulsion analysis
Propulsion system installation
Propulsion system support
Engine operability
Experience with field support or working in a field support environment
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
