The Boeing Company Saint Louis Region Senior Electrostatic Discharge Coordinator in Berkeley, Missouri

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Coordinator for their

St. Louis Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Design Integration Team.  This team is responsible for various tasks including but not limited to analysis, concept development, design implementation, and verification tasks on various Boeing Defense programs.

Position Responsibilities:

Identification, analysis, requirements identification, coordination, application, and verification of ESD requirements on various systems to ensure compliance to industry and Boeing ESD requirements

Site ESD program maintenance, authoring/teaching ESD content to support documentation and compliance, continuous program ESD oversight and visibility, and product manufacturing support for ESD

Interfacing with multiple disciplines across The Boeing Company (Engineering, Product Support, Manufacturing, etc.), external customers and suppliers, and multiple levels of the organization to manage compliance to ESD requirements in the Saint Louis region

Manage assignments within allocated budgets, on schedule, and with high quality results

ESD industry and process knowledge, application, and experience are required

Develops and validates ESD requirements for various systems and subsystems

Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects, and system performance to ESD requirements

Defines and conducts tests to validate and identify appropriate ESD requirements

Ensures Boeing ESD requirements are flowed to suppliers and develop tools to assist in the assessment of supplier’s ESD programs

Provides technical support for ESD questions for the STL region

Conducts and track surveillance activities, including tracking trends for ESD compliance

Performs walkthroughs of ESD areas and ESD operations to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

Engages with and stays aware of industrial best practices within the ESD field

Creates content, learning, and resources to enhance ESD compliance for the STL region

Maintain STL ESD website, or other portal, with updates and improvements as necessary

Support Enterprise ESD initiatives as a site representative, including reviewing changes to Enterprise ESD training course

Maintain awareness of ESD sensitivity data for STL products

Works under general mentorship

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills

5+ years of experience ESD industry standards (ESDA, JEDEC, ANSI/ESD, MIL-STD-1686, etc.)

Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time, as required

The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry

Previous experience in ESD program or compliance management

Bachelor's degree or higher in a business or technical field



Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
