The Boeing Company T-7A Associate Test & Evaluation Engineer in Berkeley, Missouri
The Boeing T-7A Red Hawk program System Test organization has an exciting opening for an Associate, Test & Evaluation Engineer to work on the initial T-7A EMD program located in Berkeley, MO.
This program is tasked by the U.S. Air Force customer to produce the next-generation training jet. There is currently an opportunity for a Flight Test Engineer to join the test team and be responsible for test aircraft configuration management and aircraft ground and flight test execution. The EMD program will consist of multiple test aircraft and significant flight sciences and mission systems testing. This position may require some travel to Edwards Air Force base to support flight test execution.
Test aircraft configuration management and test readiness
Support aircraft ground and flight test execution
Participates in aircraft briefs and debriefs
Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods.
Develops simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk.
Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.
Supports development of test debrief material.
Participates in evaluation of test performance data.
Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity
Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data.
Prepares test reports for review.
Works under general supervision.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)
A Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability and desire to work in a team environment
Able to travel up to 75% of the time if required
2+ years of experience with the principles of flight test OR experience directly supporting flight test operations
2+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans.
2+ years of experience working with and/or interpreting engineering data or engineering drawings.
Typical Education & Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
