THE DOE RUN COMPANY Production/Operations Supervisor (Yard) in Boss, Missouri

We even start benefits on day 1!Our Production/Operations Supervisors provide drive process improvements with a focus on material handling and air quality control equipment at our secondary lead smelter facility located in beautiful Boss, MO. Other local cities are Viburnum, Salem, Cuba and Bixby.Successful candidates must have:Ability to work day shift Monday- Friday 7:00 am 4:30 pm (preferably with flexibility; openness to other shifts may support career advancement)Willingness and ability to use company provided personal protective equipment including but not limited to a respirator, coveralls, and metatarsal guard bootsHigh School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is preferredMinimum of 2 years of operational or production leadership experienceAt least 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing or plant environment with a proven track record of measurable resultsExcellent interpersonal, collaboration and decision making skillsEagerness to supervise and support material movement and air quality activities, projects and peoplePrimary responsibilities:Supervise Yard/Scrubber/Baghouse activities and personnel which includes effective project management of scrubber, baghouse, and ventilation improvementObserve areas to assure protection is progressing and staying abreast of any issues or concerns.Review and prioritize work orders and assign work to crew members according to their skills and business needs.Supervise, coach, and follow up regarding safety, environmental, and quality work completion.Handle requisitions for parts and supplies and complete time sheets, production reports, and other necessary paperwork.Monitor and inspect equipment (including mobile equipment if necessary), coordinate repairs and schedule preventive maintenance for equipment.Other duties as assigned.Other requirements:Must be proficient using Microsoft Office and other computer systemsFamiliarity with ISO Standards is a plusChemistry or metals experience preferredStrong communication and decision making skillsBasic and general mechanical maintenance and electrical knowledgeBased in St. Louis, The Doe Run Company is a privately held natural resources company and one of the largest integrated lead producers in the Western Hemisphere.
