Kforce Electronic Technician in Bridgeton, Missouri

Kforce has a client in search of an Electronic Technician in Bridgeton, MO. In this position, you will layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, computer boards and systems.Responsibilities: * Troubleshoot test fixtures and test software for the ATE computer * Troubleshoot and repair component level, digital and analog circuits on printed circuit boards from the production line, home office failures and field returns * Troubleshoot problems in balancers and strobes as needed * Program HP3065 computer and writing digital analog test software * Assist test engineers with ATE related problems * Design and fabrication of small test fixtures and maintenance to all functional testers * Daily water check on wave solder washer to verify that the chlorine level is right and the resistance of water is good * Install, maintain and repair terminating machines, automatic insertion machines, automatic wire cutters/strippers, wave solder unit/washer and solder/desolder stations * Repair test stands for Quality Assurance inspectors by making cables, replacing bad boards in the stand and troubleshooting and repairing boards from the test stands * Run inventory on printed circuit boards in technician area and verify scrap boards and prepare scrap statement * Discuss layout and assembly procedures and problems with Electronics Engineer and draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronics units * Assemble experimental circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance * Set up standard test apparatus or devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental and life test to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model * To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed * Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
