Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Hubbell Incorporated engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of electrical and electronic products in the United States and internationally. It operates in three segments: Electrical, Power, and Industrial Technology.
Provide laboratory testing services to Hubbell business units and third-party customers primarily in the electrical test laboratories including high power, high voltage, and continuous current testing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee operations in electrical test laboratories including scheduling of test requests, test program development, execution and reporting.
Review test data for accuracy, consistency with test plans, and approving reports for release.
Assist technicians to perform product testing including setup, planning and reporting.
Maintain laboratory accreditation of ISO 17025, including managing equipment calibration records, maintenance, and quality documents and procedures.
Assist Laboratory Manager to define, initiate and manage capital equipment and automation projects.
Will be trained to interpret industry standards and to become an electrical subject-matter expert with regards to electrical equipment and electrical short-circuit/high-voltage testing.
Participate and lead cross functional teams with internal, remote engineering groups with regard to testing plans for product development, R&D, design/process/supplier changes. Will provide technical guidance on electrical topics.
Skills and Experience
Minimum Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline required.
Minimum 3 years experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, electrical utility experience, or test laboratoy operations.
Previous experience in product testing, electrical research, quality control, standards engineering and/or reliability engineering roles.
Must be able to effectively communicate complex topics often using teleconferencing tools, presentations and speaking in front of groups.
Must be a self starter with strong drive, initative, and ability to work with limited management input.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, domestic and international.
