YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Automation Engineering Co-Op, are to:
Analyze state of the art technology alongside experimental prototypes to determine best methods to meet problems of pollen management;
Design systems to meet pollen management challenges that take into consideration the following: best automation practices, optimized user interaction, and biological factors for optimum plant cultivation;
Prototype and test designs for systems to rapidly prove viability of designs;
Engage in iterative design processes to arrive at a best solution;
Make plans and business case to scale designs for deployment.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (bioengineering, mechanical, electrical, agricultural or etc.);
Willing to work “hands-on” with machinery and plants with technician and engineer direction;
Demonstrated problem solving, planning, and time management skills;
Strong computer skills, especially related to design and data analysis.
Knowledge or understanding of programming in languages such as Python or R;
Hands on extracurricular project experiences.
