CTGs premier global client in Chesterfield, MO has a 3-month contract assignment for aBiologist.
Location: Chesterfield, MO
Duration: 4 months, with potential for extension
The team is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and energetic individual to participate in the critical work of supporting the R&D Pipeline by performing genetic transformation of row crops for Discovery and Commercial product development. The successful candidate will work in a sterile environment performing plant tissue culture tasks. Daily tasks include tissue transfer, incubation of bacteria, genetic sampling, and transfer of plantlets to soil. The ability to work well with others in a collaborative and team-based environment is essential.
Requirements / Preferences
A Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, cellular biology, biotechnology or related field
Experience working in a laboratory environment and sterile technique
Experience with the design, execution, and/or analysis of experiments along with good record keeping
Clear demonstration of the following skill sets: Attention to detail, computer programs (Microsoft, LIMS, etc.), communication, organization, self-motivation
