Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

The advent of cloud technology has kicked off the 4th Industrial Revolution. Oracle s industry-leading Cloud is fueling enterprise digital innovation and transformation at many of the largest brands in world.
The Oracle Cloud Applications organization has an immediate opening for an Executive Director of Manufacturing Strategy and Transformation. This new role is positioned to take the Oracle Cloud message into Manufacturing, directly to the C-suite like never before.
As the Executive Director, you will have worked previously in a Manufacturing environment and accumulated robust experience and knowledge on key industry issues, including trends, regulations, and the industry landscape. You will understand Manufacturing industry regulation and government issues, particularly as it relates to organizational requirements to leverage cloud capabilities including data, privacy and compliance requirements. You will also have developed an understanding of the value chains and processes in the various types and modes of manufacturing (process, discrete, etc.). You will have demonstrated manufacturing experience in your background.
Additionally, you will have either led implementations or played a key role for the implementations of ERP and Supply Chain solutions in the following functional areas:
Product Lifecycle Management
Supply Chain Planning
Logistics & Manufacturing
Ideally, you will also have experience deploying Customer Engagement and Human Resources solutions in manufacturing environments. Candidates with demonstrated cloud experience and specifically with Oracle ERP and SCM Cloud application implementations will differentiate themselves for this role.
The Executive Director will act both individually and via influence-leadership to coordinate cross-functional Oracle resources virtually across boundaries to shape Oracle s voice to executive audiences at Manufacturing organizations. This person engages with customers directly and regularly through customer pre-sales engagements to deliver industry-relevant messaging and ensure that our sales professionals and technical teams capture and communicate the full value of enterprise Oracle s Cloud business applications and effectively shape that value in terms that leaders in the Manufacturing industry recognize and understand.
This person will be seen as credible by our Manufacturing customers and seen internally as a thought leader who can bring industry-relevant and thought-provoking ideas and messages in order to position manufacturing-relevant business outcomes that will be powered by Oracle s industry-leading cloud applications portfolio.
In addition to building close relationships with Oracle Sales leadership and sales teams, it will be the responsibility of this person to partner and engage with key internal Oracle stakeholder groups, such as Product Marketing, Product Development, Solution Engineering, and Oracle Consulting to shape our company messages, products, and delivery with a Manufacturing point of view that s differentiated in the marketplace.

o Priority will be given to candidates with prior experience in Oracle Cloud applications (ERP, EPM, SCM, HCM, CX) in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional Experience;
o Minimum twelve (12) or more years of total professional experience
o Minimum eight (8) years of direct experience in one or more Manufacturing or Manufacturing-related organizations. Additionally, we will consider candidates with management consulting experience and/or technology-provider business development / sales experience serving Manufacturing organizations at a strategic level.
o Priority will be given to candidates active in top tier Manufacturing industry associations
o In addition to above, previous direct Sales experience is highly desirable
o Undergraduate degree; preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. computer science, engineering, operations research, quantitative analysis, mathematics or similar field)
o Master s in Business Administration (MBA)
o Priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate specialized Manufacturing industry knowledge, certifications and memberships
