Oracle Technical Program Manager in Chesterfield, Missouri

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Oracle seeks a Technical Program Manager in North America Cloud Engineering

Location: United States

The Security Shared Services team is seeking a Technical Program Manager to work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to prioritize work and drive on-time cloud solution delivery, including identifying and resolving risks and dependencies. You will provide expertise in technology and process areas ensuring success for Oracle's customers by driving multiple technical projects, programs, initiatives, or solutions from initiation to completion.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities include:

  • Defining and managing projects and programs, including setting priorities and deliverables, success criteria, schedules, etc.

  • Defining and managing project-level scope, resources, issues/risks, status, etc.

  • Managing multiple projects through project lifecycles.

  • Managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Driving timely decisions, identifying and managing risks, and escalating appropriately.

  • Facilitating project leadership team meetings.

  • Facilitating cross-silo communications and decision making across team, division, and company.

  • Understanding and solving complex problems with data-driven decision making.

  • Producing weekly status reports and attending weekly status meetings.

  • Producing executive-ready communication.

Experience needed to succeed:

  • 5 years of experience with project management and process flow applications or tools (Jira, Confluence, and others), or relevant technical project/program management experience.

  • Close familiarity with system and applications design preferred.

  • Demonstrated project management, organizational, and coordination skills.

  • Professional maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills.

  • Excellent organizational, presentation, verbal and written communication skills. – Experience communicating 1:1 with end-user customers and presenting at conferences a plus.

  • Experience teaming with VP-level and line level stakeholders in a large enterprise organization to establish and maintain roadmaps, set appropriate expectations, and ensure our products and services meet our high standards of excellence.

  • Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through internal and external organizations and individuals.

  • Experience with Agile / Scrum / Kanban – Certified Scrum Master a plus.

  • Familiarity with cloud concepts, terminology, tech stacks. – Active involvement with Cloud services preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent relevant technical experience.

  • Technical degree (Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field) preferred.
