GBA Water Resources Engineer (STL) in Chesterfield, Missouri

Our Water Environment Group works on a wide range of project types including Water distribution, Wastewater systems, Stormwater engineering Municipal engineering services, construction administration and utility coordination. Our experts work with private, municipal, county and utility clients. In addition to traditional design-bid-build projects, our team has experience in the growing field of design-build projects, both in municipal services and for the DOT. For this position, we are looking for someone with an emphasis in water resources or environmental design, who can work with and support any of the described service areas on a design team participating in these types of projects. Responsibilities:- Collection System flow data collection and analysis- Hydraulic modeling of water, wastewater and stormwater projects.- Assist in the preparation of reports and other project documents.- Design of water, wastewater and stormwater project components.- Candidate must be experienced in the preparation of construction documents, including specification writing and preparation of construction drawings, along with associated cost estimates.- Prepare engineering plans and exhibits for a variety of projects using AutoCAD, Microstation or GIS mapping tools- Coordination and mentoring of CAD drafting with younger staff.- Coordination with utilities during project design.- Observation and reporting of construction activities.- Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.- Assist less experienced engineers with design and construction administration.- Willing to be active in professional organizations.- Other duties as needed. Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field- At least 5 years of experience in water, wastewater or stormwater related projects- Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri or ability to pass the P.E.
