As our co-op program is a three-way relationship between Ford, the student and the university, eligible candidates must attend a university with a co-op program with an established co-op relationship with Ford Motor Company. Interested candidate should be able to work six months at a Ford Facility.

Responsibilities:

As the Experiential Learning Program –KCAP you will be assigned a department and will work on engineering projects encompassing but not limited to

  • Working with team members on reducing line time, cost saving projects, cycle plans

  • Coordinating with additional team members such as hourly production employees, maintenance employees and support departments to assist you with your assigned project.

  • Leading team meetings on your assigned project, cycle plans, etc.

  • Maintaining improvements and updates to your Area Manager on project accomplishments and deadlines.

  • Must be available for one semester to work day shift

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be actively enrolled in College (Junior or Senior Year)

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft office suite applications (Word, Powerpoint, excel, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelor of Science degree in: Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Welding Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science Engineering or Agricultural Engineering

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout the program

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment including our world class manufacturing facilities where you have the opportunity to see the product developed and completed

  • Students should be available and willing to do multiple assignments

  • Ability to work within a diverse team

  • Flexibility in work location

  • Interest in the automotive industry and Manufacturing
