Journeyman Lineworker - WandL$25.044 - $30.679 per hour Minimum-Midpoint, Commensurate with Training and EducationThe City of Columbia, MO is hiring for a Journeyman Lineworker in our City Utility department. Must have a High school diploma or equivalent with a successful completion of an apprentice program. Must maintain a CPR certification. Must have a valid class A CDL with airbrake and combination trailer endorsements. Must obtain licensing and/or certification in pole top rescue, bucket truck rescue, confined spaces and climbing. This position performs skilled work to assist in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electric transmission and distribution lines. Must have knowledge of tools such as hoists, winches, crimping tools, and related hand tools; occupational hazards and safe work practices connected with high voltage electrical work. Must be able to climb transmission and distribution poles, along with troubleshoot single phase and 3 phase underground primary loops. Must have ability to read schematics of job prints and underground system maps; work on-call and respond within 30 minutes at all hours of the day/night. Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
