Here, you will make an impact by:Identifying, creating, and optimizing automation solutions through robotics, PLCs, HMIs, motion control, VFDs, data historians, and other automation componentsWorking collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop data automation and analytics for various discrete and continuous processesSpecifying, programming, and commissioning of new automated equipment including multi-axis robots and automation cellsIdentify and lead process improvement projects for integrated systems, manufacturing, and reporting to improve process safety, quality, service, cost, capacity, and productivityYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Associate degree/Technical Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionOne (1) combined year in robotics, vision systems, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical, Robotics, or Automation EngineeringExperience with Robots, PLC Programming, Process Studio, and Power BIThree (3) plus years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing and/or industrial setting with demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skillsExperience with process validation and documentationExcellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, analytical and organizational skills to manage dynamic prioritiesTraining and experience in Lean methodology, statistics, SPC, DOE, and Six SigmaTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
