International Paper Complex EHS Manager in FENTON, Missouri

The EHS Representative will have the responsibility for Belleville, IL and Fenton, MO facilities in the St. Louis complex. They will ensure that the facilities comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws, regulations and corporate policies and to certify to this requirement. This role will develop, implement, and maintain effective systems, procedures, and training to achieve and maintain an accident free, injury free, and healthy workplace. The EHS Representative will integrate continual environmental, health and safety improvements and employee diligence into daily operations.

Candidate must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple tasks at once and adapt to an ever changing environment with minimum supervision. Must possess and utilize effective verbal and written communication skills to make presentations to small and large groups. Must be a strategic thinker, a team player and be confident. Must have the ability to work with hourly (both union and non-union) employees and exempt and non-exempt staff.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with a strong focus in Environmental, Health and Safety. A minimum of 3 years related Health, Environmental, Safety experience in a manufacturing environment. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer, and PowerPoint.
