US Engineering Company NNSA Tradesman (Night Shift) in Grandview, Missouri
The Tradesman Maintenance Technician II and III will be responsible for executing the HVAC and
Plumbing maintenance, at the NNSA facility in South Kansas City. This position will, be a direct contributor to the maintenance and repairs tasks at the facility as well. NNSA facility in South Kansas City, MO.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
Execute preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC and plumbing equipment at facility
Assist to Coordinate all work activities with NNSA and Centerpoint/Zimmer to ensure 100% uptime
Assist in managing operating plans and update as needed/required
Maintain preventative maintenance management systems, documenting all preventative maintenance tasks, repairs and incidents.
Coordinate general administrative work with Centerpoint/Zimmer and/or Deputy Chief Engineer
Responsible for parts, material and tool inventory
Adherence to all safety policies and procedures
Responsive to all critical alarms and resolving issues during PM shutdowns, including identifying defective parts and working with vendors to replace
Other tasks and duties as they arise
Ability to work day, evening, and night shifts
Education & Experience:
3-5 years of related HVAC experience in HVAC desired
Experience with customer management and effective communication with all levels
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Working knowledge of business procedures and excellent writing skills
Ability to manage team members to ensure 100% uptime
Working knowledge of computer operations
Keen attention to detail and good organizational skills
Excellent customer service and professional communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and excel in a fast-paced work environment that includes frequent interruptions.
Team mindset – flexible to help where the team will benefit most and develop effective professional relationships
Demonstrates sense of urgency as required
