Job Description

Our client, a leader in the biotechnology company is currently seeking an Integration and Verification Engineer.

Position Description

This is a verification engineering position with an emphasis on engineering testing and prototype build support. The individual will support a multidisciplinary team of engineers developing instrumentation that incorporates aspects of mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multidisciplinary R&D engineering team members to design, construct, author, and execute engineering tests and protocols

  • Collect and analyze data, and generate reports

  • Maintain configuration management documentation and support instrument prototype builds

  • Develop and perform automated test routines

  • Participate in technical reviews

  • Support instrument, PCB, and firmware troubleshooting and issue resolution

  • Ensure compliance with the design control guidelines and Quality requirements within the company’s regulated ISO\ FDA environment

Education, Qualifications, and Skills

  • BS in Engineering Field with Biomedical Engineering Preferred

  • 1-5 years of experience with preference for medical device industry experience

  • Proficient use of MS Office, Project, Excel, Word

  • Basic understanding of instrument/system development and testing

  • Well grounded in mechanical engineering principles and test methods

  • Experience with complex laboratory equipment, engineering test equipment, data acquisition systems, and calibration procedures

  • Basic understanding in programming techniques (C/C++/Python) and script writing (using Matlab, LabView, or similar)

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Knowledge of FDA QSR, specifically design controls is preferred

  • Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to schedule and work with little supervision

  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and leadership skills
