Experienced with inspection in process, final inspections, review of batch record / device history record, and release of the product. * Technical Degree with at least 5 years' experienceless thanbr> * Strong mathematical and technical capabilities relating to the role, including ability to read and interpret complex blueprintsless thanbr> WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:less thanbr> Ensure compliance to company specifications, workmanship standards, and Quality System requirements in the Instrument Manufacturing area. Individual must inspect/test/audit materials and processes in a timely fashion while, at the same time, ensuring conformance to all requirements.less thanbr> * Control Nonconforming Material: Transport conforming parts to inventory, including all necessary computer transactions and written record completion. For materials found to be nonconforming, this responsibility includes the generation of "nonconforming material reports", requiring a technically accurate description of the anomalies.less thanbr> * Conduct Manufacturing Audits: Perform Quality Control in-process inspections and audits necessary to support Instrument Manufacturing. This responsibility includes assessment of sub-assemblies, finished devices, and the assembly and test processes for conformance to documented requirements.less thanbr> * Execute Product Release: Perform final inspections of completed medical devices and accessories, including the detailed review of the Device History Record package to confirm the completeness and accuracy of records prior to formally releasing the instrument for distribution.less thanbr> * Perform First Article Inspections: on complex mechanical and electrical parts. This responsibility includes interpreting blueprint requirements, choosing the proper inspection equipment and techniques, and confirming conformance to specifications.less thanbr> * Performing the QC testing routinely results in the need to investigate non-conformances, and either independently address them, or interface with technicians and/or engineers to diagnose and remedy the problem.less thanbr> * This role inherently involves material handling, requiring the knowledge and discipline to ensure the safety of the employee and their co-workers.less thanbr> EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:less thanbr> * Two year technical degree and at least 5 years related experience. Mathematical abilities, including trigonometry.less thanbr> * Ability to use precision mechanical measuring instruments, coordinate measuring machine, optical comparators, microscopes, measure scopes, meters and other various electrical test equipment.less thanbr> * Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, a plus would be the knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GDandT.less thanbr> * Computer literacy adequate to interface with the MRP system, the NCMR Nonconforming Material Report system, interoffice e-mail, MS Excel and MS Word.less thanbr> * Familiarity with instruments and accessories being manufactured.less thanbr> * Knowledge of the company's quality system, and all applicable procedures.less thanbr> * Ability to communicate criticism in a manner that avoids hard feelings, and ability to advocate quality improvements in a manner that will foster concurrence rather than resistance.less thanbr> * Ability to work with little or no supervision and to complete projects in a timely fashion.less thanbr> * Ability to be a leader in groups of peers from production and QC.less thanbr> * Effective verbal and written communication
