Newell Brands Operator 2 in Jackson, Missouri

Position Title: Operator 2

Reports to: Darren McIntosh

Location: Jackson, MO

Job Summary: Pre-laminated boards are cut to size, finished, packaged, stacked, staged, and re-cut to remove defects

Job Duties:

  • Operator 1 monitors feeder, ripping/crosscutting,and conveyor.Frees jams andchanges blades as needed.

  • Operator 2 monitors edge laminator and changesrolls of edging as needed.Freesjams and re-works boards as needed.

  • Flipper/labeler checks quality of processedboards.Pulls bad product andchanges rolls of labels as needed.

  • Operator 3 monitors packaging machine, conveyor,and loads cardboard.Free jams asneeded.Performs manual stack-offto cart at least 1x/week.

  • Stack off off-loads packaged boards topallet.Frees jams as needed.Manual stack off to cart at least1x/week.

  • Wood re-claim involves cutting defects fromboards stacking and re-using product.

  • Rotate to other areas of line if needed.

Maintain cleanliness of work area.
