Guidehouse is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and organized Senior eLearning Instructional Designer to lead the strategy, design, and implementation of learning and development products and services. You will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, including outreach coordinators, marketing specialists, digital strategist, writers, designers and project leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a strong client service background, acute attention to detail, expertise in instructional design, eLearning, Articulate Storyline 360 (or equivalent), facilitation, excellent organizational skills, and willingness to be part of a team.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Primary liaison with the client learning & development point of contact and frequently engages with client senior-level leadership

  • Coordinates with cross-functional team including instructional systems designers, project managers, subject matter experts, and multimedia developers to ensure high quality delivery of technology facilitated training products (e.g., eLearning) for a public health audience

  • Coordinates multiple inputs from stakeholders and serve as the final quality check for highly visible training deliverables including storyboards, eLearning, and supporting materials

  • Conducts reviews of a variety of deliverables produced throughout the production life cycle to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to documented standards

  • Facilitates meetings, navigates different stakeholder priorities, communicates up and down the organization and drives tasks to completion on-time and at a high level of quality

  • Conducts review sessions with client stakeholders and coordinates feedback with production team

  • Seeks opportunities to streamline processes and optimize client and production team interactions to ensure exceptional delivery

  • Performs research on current eLearning trends, and develops whitepapers on best practices

  • Shares ideas through creative brainstorming

  • Pitches ideas for new learning and development solutions

  • Collaborates with cross-functional team members to identify client needs and generate forward-thinking ideas to engage with targeted audiences to share information

  • Solves problems applying critical thinking and consulting mindset



  • Six (6) or more years of direct client engagement experience with three (3) of more years of experience coordinating and managing L&D projects with multiple stakeholders as a Lead Instructional Designer (main point of contact for project), to include:

  • Applied knowledge of learning technologies including content development using Articulate 360 (or another eLearning platform), implementation of eLearning with learning management systems, and 508 compliance

  • Experience managing the development of highly visible L&D projects for a public health government agency and audience

  • Bachelor’s Degree


  • Ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients.

  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to deal effectively with customers, contractors, peers, and leadership

  • Highly organized and excellent attention to detail

  • Experience facilitating workgroups

  • Experience in professional services consulting

  • Proven record of balancing concurrent tasks, meeting deadlines and delivering quality results

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Learning Design and Technology or related field
