The transmission group invests in rate regulated electric transmission and natural gas pipeline systems in the United States and Canada.Our vision is to be the utility company most admired by customers, communities and investors for our people, passion and performance.Mandate:The Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing analytical support, developing innovative solutions and enhancing the organization s reliability culture while working as a team member of the system reliability department. Their focus is placed on analyzing performance of utility assets using available datasets, designing appropriate remedial solutions to improve overall service performance, and communicating with all stakeholders in an effort to optimize asset utilization and enhance service delivery.Job Functions: * Assist with communication with operational stakeholders to identify service interruption issues and perform appropriate analysis to identify cause. Develop cost effective corrective actions and communicate solutions with appropriate supporting information to engage all stakeholders for implementation and to develop organizational reliability culture. * Perform statistical analysis of available datasets to identify past, current and future trends in performance of Company assets. Investigate underperforming assets and assist with design of appropriate, cost effective remedial solutions to improve future asset performance. * Research existing and emerging technologies and provide recommendations to continually improve reliability of Company assets. * Monitor and document the performance of pilot project solutions for an appropriate time period to evaluate effectiveness. When appropriate, will advance pilot solutions for full implementation by communicating recommendations to leadership. * Assist with development of standardized solutions to correct service interruption issues which can be applied across all regions of the organization. Work with interdepartmental resources to document and communicate corrective methods. * Assist in coordinating and compiling cost estimates for transmission and/or distribution projects for inclusion in the capital construction budget. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
