PCR Assistant Scientist Position's Open - Immediate Hire - Paying up to 23.00/hr
The Laboratory Technician position will perform technically based tasks and laboratory experimentation according to established protocols and SOPs. The primary assignments will support clinical laboratory activities including COVID-19 testing. Other duties include research and development testing of diagnostic equipment for a range of infectious disease assays. Daily duties include receiving and logging in samples, data entry, updating the laboratory information management system, extracting samples, and performing analysis.
Top Skills Details:
1) PCR experience to include: plating, streaking, running assays, creating reports with findings
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
BS degree in a scientific discipline
1 year experience (open to academic research institutes, academic exp, or clinical exp)
prepping specimens- plating cells, streaking cells, performing extractions
entering patient information into a database
PC Skills- microsoft suite, LIMS
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Must be a team player, multitasker
