ITCS/CBTC Systems Engineering Manager:This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of rail signaling. In particular this role will focus on guiding the design and deployment of the Positive Train Control ( PTC ) Solution of the Incremental Train Control System ( ITCS ) and the Communication Based Train Control System ( CBTC ) Solution of Urbalis.
Lead and manage the System Engineering team including development needs and resource planning
Technically lead tenders for PTC and CBTC and capture new business
Develop and implement strong technical solutions for portfolio of North America PTC - related signaling projects
Provide overall architecture and gap analysis to Bid Management to ensure executable bids are proposed
Lead project team, including partners, thru design reviews to identify & manage technical risks and implement corrective action where appropriate
Liaise with customers either on or off site as necessary
Provide full scope of leadership for direct report (s), including performance evaluation, annual assessments, salary planning, and employee development
Skills, Experience, Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Technical knowledge of product lines and associated integrated rail signaling systems
Proven Leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team / organization
Prior experience in Positive Train Control or CBTC rail signaling systems is preferred
