The Document Control Coordinator will support the Document Control groups within the Quality Assurance Compliance Department. The Document Control Unit is responsible for the Management and Control of GMP documents. Decision making authority will be limited to job responsibilities as outlined in the site specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Document Control Coordinator will be working with the direct line managers for all decisions outside of those delineated by the SOPs.
Updating, formatting, printing for signatures
Review of documentation prior to issuance to ensure compliance with site SOPs
Issuance of documents
Maintenance of final word versions for revision purposes to maintain the integrity of the document
Requesting and monitoring compliance documents within the Catalent KCM organization
Assist in the creation and updating of Standard Operating Procedures and forms specific to the document control processes
Support of archival activities at the site
Education or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent. Two year degree preferred.
Computer skills – This position includes the entry of information into electronic databases. Individual must be adept at working with computer data systems, enter data accurately and consistently and must be able to search databases for retrieval of information. Employee must also be experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Organizational Skills – This position includes the maintenance of multiple types of GMP documentation in an organized manner. The employee must be organized and detailed oriented.
Interpersonal skills – This position includes frequent interaction with other individuals from other departments throughout the work day. The employee must work well with others as well as other team members and must consistently present a positive and professional persona during their daily interactions with others.
GMP compliance – This position involves the management of GMP data and documentation. The employee is required to be trained on all related GMP SOPs and must abide by the rules and regulations associated with the maintenance of these documents. Previous GMP compliance experience preferred.
Archival support – On site document storage must be completed in a timely manner, per the storage requirements of the particular document type and in a readily retrievable manner. Off-site storage includes the packing, labeling storage boxes and organizing the pick-up of documents destined for off-site storage. Documents are packed into storage boxes with like types and in a document specific manner. The employee must be able to pack the boxes per the site’s requirements, label appropriated and arrange pick up.
