The Role

The Facilities Engineering team is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of all buildings and facilities. The team can do this by performing analyses of operational processes, resource allocation and providing recommendations for improvements. The Facilities Engineering group is vital to Catalent’s ability to produce lifesaving medications for our patients.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the execution of numerous capital projects currently active and planned

  • Investigating at least one of our important utility systems such as the Electrical, HVAC or Exhaust to help map out its current "as-built" condition

  • Spending time on the shop floor watching and assisting commercial process operators with one or more batches of product manufacture

  • Working with the Kansas City Maintenance staff to help run one of the weekly sanitization cycles on one or more of our purified water systems

  • Shadowing and assisting on one to two utility or process equipment repair projects

The Candidate

In order to be eligible for an internship at Catalent, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

  • Must be an undergraduate/graduate student in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field of study

  • Eligible to legally work in the United States

  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for a 10-12-week period over the summer
