Panasonic Production Lead in Kansas City, Missouri

YOUR MISSION:

This position is responsible for production output of machine operations the JIT facility in Kansas City. The job responsibility includes supervising, coordinating and directing the work activities of the assigned employees. This position is also responsible for training battery testing operators and other workers.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Under the direction of management, supervises, coordinates and directs the work activities of the assigned employees.

  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

  • Assigns work to maximize production, efficiency, or quality levels.

  • Periodically examines product for conformance to specifications and quality standards.

  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, work practices and observes work to ensure compliance with standards upon implementation.

  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

  • Demonstrates methods and trains employees in tasks and equipment operation.

  • Performs or assists employees in performing duties. May be required to assist as liaison between work groups.

  • Confers with others to coordinate activities between shifts/work groups as necessary.

  • Assists in the process or sets up machines, equipment, and/or production processes.

  • Monitors material-flow and inspects materials.

  • Ensures that modifications/countermeasures are implemented and are correct and/or effective.

  • Monitors line process procedures for continual improvement of quality output.

  • Requisitions parts, materials, supplies, assemblies, and/or goods from inventory according to job order or other directives.

  • Receives and/or arranges in-plant transfer of materials or incoming parts, supplies, etc. for stock to meet production or other schedules.

  • Monitors, controls, and verifies movement of parts or materials in and out of work areas.

  • Performs or assists with daily, weekly, or monthly inventory issues or issues with materials received, and assists in determining material requirements or determining other related solutions.

  • May be required to assist with quality checks of parts, procedures, scraps, etc.

MUST-HAVES:

  • Associate degree or Certificate in a related technical, electrical, mechanical, or electronic field or three (3) years demonstrated equivalent technical experience.

  • Knowledge of IATF16949:2016 requirements, OHSAS18001, ISO14001.

  • Must demonstrate the knowledge/skills/abilities to read, interpret, test, measure, and evaluate materials.

  • Must possess the technical knowledge/skills/abilities to perform the job.

  • Proficiency with CCore, Word processing and/or data entry skills.
