While working at DST Financial Services, you will help our clients discover opportunities in the complexities associated with mounting inflows of data, rapid technological advancements, shifting regulatory change, rising security risks and increasing demands from their customers. Your job is to help our clients discover opportunity through technology, strategic advisory and business improvement solutions. You will work with some of the world’s leading Alternative Asset Managers, Asset Management Service Companies, Banking Companies, Broker-Dealers, Distribution Companies, Insurance Companies and Retirement Companies. DST is searching for a technology leader with a strong understanding of the business process management segment, emerging technologies and knowledge of where the industry future is headed. This position will also lead the solution which is deployed as an on premise or hosted solution with a long term vision toward public cloud deployment. In addition, the position will work within the Global BPS teams and business to implement a technical roadmap to tactically reengineer the existing platforms as well as surrounding applications.
Develop and implement the technology strategy for BPS along with full authority and accountability for delivering expected software releases including all functionality as organizationally determined
Interact regularly with technology staff across Architecture, Development, Infrastructure, Support, Product Management and Portfolio Management
Collaborate with clients and across a large matrix organization, participate in industry forums to gather insight, build and influence best practices, and enable DST to be recognized as an industry leader
Provide and receive feedback on a regular basis from a large group of people (both internal and external)
Reduce allocated expenses, improve delivery, quality and performance, modernize of our infrastructure, and enhance user experience
Leverage past experiences and current knowledge to influence the direction of our BPS technology organization during the IT Transformation
Directly lead certain modernization initiatives and produce high quality, modern solutions that allow for clients to quickly adopt; the role will also include the implementation of the agile lifecycle to implement the delivery from concept to long term support
Work across the organization to stay up to date with audit and information security policies to ensure all groups across BPS IT organization are aligned, trained and held accountable for the technology, security and audit requirement
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related relevant engineering fields and 10 years of work-related experience, or Master’s degree and 8 year of work-related experience
Eight plus years demonstrated experience leading a Business Process Services team along with 5 plus years of management and organizational budgeting experience
Strong knowledge of software architecture, agile development practices, infrastructure, security practices, and capacity planning is required
Proven track record of leading geographically dispersed organization as well as application modernization or transformation within the process management space
Strong understanding of the retirement industry, in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, as well as insights into where our competitors and the retirement industry are headed
Demonstrated proven track record of leading a transformation within the retirement space is a must.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems and identify best practices
Future oriented, anticipates outcomes, decisive and results oriented
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing through presentations and individual discussions with all levels of the organization
Strong business acumen and agility within a large, matrixed organization
Ability to listen, adopt and influence are essential
Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor a team
