Major Electrical Assemblies is looking for a product engineer with experience and background in either electrical, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering.Some responsibilities in this role include:
Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to the design and manufacturing process to improve quality, safety, schedule flow time, and reliability that results in cost savings.
Act with urgency to troubleshoot and identify root causes to non-conforming product
Works in a team environment to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, including design agencies, quality, supply chain, and customer
Research, applies, and develops innovative methodologies and technologies to resolve processing and design problems
Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment
Responsible for strategic technical support that may involve longer range and/or complex business objectives in field of expertise
Mentor and coach other engineers to ensure long term team success by helping other bridge any knowledge gaps
You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited Engineering Program
6 or more years of experience in Engineering activities, such as manufacturing, inspection, processing, or tool design
US Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain required US Dept of Energy "Q" level security clearance.
Experience with electronic assembly engineering responsibilities
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or MBA
Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills and ability to effectively listen and lead
Experience in the development and production of nuclear weapon components and/or systems, familiarity with KCNSC capabilities and technologies, and a high-level of knowledge of weapons currently in the US nuclear stockpile
Proven ability to accurately and appropriately represent KCNSC to external partners and customers and other government agency representative
Proven ability to work effectively on a diverse team in a matrix management structure
