HNTB Sr. Technical Advisor - Aviation in Kansas City, Missouri

What We're Looking For

The Sr. Technical Advisor - Aviation provides senior-level technical expertise to assigned large and complex projects. This position provides independent technical review of selected projects, significant breadth and depth of technical experience in a specific area, and technical interface with clients. The Sr. Technical Advisor - Aviation also provides technical mentorship to staff. Preferred location for this position is Kansas City, MO, but this role could be located anywhere in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • PE

  • Familiarity with aviation industry in the FAA Central and Southwest Regions

  • Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and Guidance

  • Active participant in industry professional organizations


What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical guidance as requested on complex or unusual engineering projects. Provides direction to resolve technical issues.

  • Provides technical assistance, leadership, mentoring, and support for management and staff.

  • Technical liaison to clients.

  • Provides independent technical review, makes recommendations as requested.

  • Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 16 years relevant experience
