MMC Contractors Traveling Senior Project Manager in Kansas City, Missouri

Our team is growing! We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team of Employee Owners. This position is a traveling role and requires full-time travel/relocation to job sites on a long-term basis. An industry leading travel compensation package is provided. Our ideal candidate will bring a strong background in large healthcare and/or industrial projects of mechanical packages of $20 million or greater. Nature of Work

Overall responsibility for project management. Manage a staff, contract documents, subcontractor performance, vendor compliance, budgets, costs, safety, profitability, and statutory and legal compliance. Maintain constructive relationships and communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, community officials and company staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-construction reviews including estimate review and contract documents. Develop purchasing strategies, project flow charts and schedules.

  • Ensure subcontractors meet expectations of contract documents.

  • Direct and supervise the purchase of major equipment.

  • Establish and coordinate overall project schedule.

  • Ensure labor, material, subcontractors, and equipment cost control for all projects.

  • Ensure accurate completion and updating of all required project reports.

  • Maintain client relationships and assist in development of new business.

  • Ensure projects are completed per contract documents and schedule.

  • Assume responsibility for providing a safe work environment, as well as complying with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.

Experience

Ten years or more of related work experience required.

Hospital and/or Industrial Project Experience strongly preferred

This is an on-site position. Must be willing and available to travel from project to project.
