Reporting directly to the Plant Supervisor, the Utility Operator is responsible for plant operations, including production, maintenance, lab testing and quality control processes in the plant, health & safety compliance, and periodic finished goods load out. This position will cover up to 30% of operations vacation/leave and be required to work a flexible shift schedule that will consist of a combination of dayshift and rotating shift work.
Compliance with all Safety, Environmental and Operating Standards.
Providing leadership on shift and achieve all plant operating objectives.
Ensuring compliance with all internal and external EH&S requirements.
Monitoring plant activities and trends, productivity and efficiency.
Overseeing quality control on shift.
Optimize and coordinate work during plant outages.
Capable of working a combination dayshift/shift rotation schedule.
S kills/ Qualifications:
Site Lead Operator certification.
1-3 years operations leadership/management experience in an industrial manufacturing facility, focusing on Safety, Quality, Production, industrial maintenance, and employee relations.
Knowledge of EH&S regulations, programs, procedures, and policies.
Self-starter, with a strong work ethic and proven track record of delivering on commitments.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people.
Comfortable in an industrial environment using ‘hands-on’ approach.
