POSITION DESCRIPTIONPerform system planning and circuit analysis of distribution circuits 12kv and below and develop remediation plan as needed. Prepare and submit subsequent projects for budget approval.Prepare load analysis for distribution substations and develop remediation plan for substations that warrant corrective action.Plan, design, budget, engineer, and manage electric construction projects related to reliability, government highway projects, system growth, and essential maintenance for the electric system, involving circuits 69kv and below.Provide engineering assistance and technical support to ESS, SDS, and other Division personnel.Meet with residential and commercial customers, architects, contractors, and other appropriate contacts to determine actions needed to fulfill customers requests. Provide customers with information regarding services, rates, lighting, wiring, NEC, and NESC code interpretations, and other service requirements and needs. Perform construction cost and revenue estimates, determine and quote customer charges. Perform energy management assistance and audits and power quality/trouble shooting analysis for customers facilities.Perform, according to Company standards and policies, engineering and design of electric extensions or modifications in response to customer service requests. This shall include: 1 determining the impact of additional loads on the existing distribution system 2 the preparation of material and labor estimates, construction notes and drawings 3 the securing of permits and rights-of-way and 4 performing post-construction follow-up.Perform work within various Company computer systems, such as DOJM, PCDS, MV90, CSS, DEW, Load Analysis, AM/FM, OAS.Work with division team members to enhance safety, reliability, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering. EIT preferred.ExperiencePrefer relative experience but will consider recent graduates.OtherSelf starter, with attention to detail. Good problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and human relations skills.
