Job Title:

Manager | Lead Operations Manager

Job Description:

As Cerner’s business continues to grow and evolve, we look to increase our workforce population by incorporating new employment options. At times we have short term needs in the business to solve for and having alternatives to fill this demand becomes more critical to our continued growth and success. Strong partnerships with our holistic HR community to understand workforce strategies, compensation philosophies, market supply and demand will allow us to leverage talent in different ways than we historically have. The goal is to allow us to attract a variety of candidates and talent to Cerner.

As the leader of the alternative workforce program you have a unique opportunity to help position Cerner for the next. A background in HR, workforce development and people management would be very helpful. As a leader you will need to partner with all the organizations at Cerner to help ensure we have the right talent at the right place and at the right time. Managing our supplier portfolio is also a critical part of this role. We have recently built a preferred collaborator program that is at the intersection of business development, associate learning and development and consulting. The growth of this program will be in scope as well.

As the Operations Lead you will be responsible for managing quality outcomes for internal business processes. You will manage a team responsible for delivering operational business process outcomes and direct operational processes, including data management, documentation and communication. You will provide leadership-relevant and timely status updates and insights to effectively execute on business priorities. You will also manage the maintenance of content sites and repositories to support business processes, including wikis, knowledge databases and other content vehicles. In addition, you will recommend improvements to operations management systems and processes to accommodate rapid and increasing growth and volume. You will also be expected to support annual operational planning and budgeting processes.
