Tyson Foods Leadperson 6 in Noel, Missouri
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the following: assisting in the set-up, operations, and upkeep of production lines; training of new Team Members; preparing and maintaining production reports; communicating objectives between management and hourly Team Member's. Other duties include: coordinating Team Member schedules to meet the needs of the department; reporting safety and policy violations for corrective measures; assist and maintain product flow in the event ofdown time; communicate maintenance needs within the department; provide relief breaks to other Team Member's as needed; comply with all company and USDA guidelines; other duties as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 2+ years' experience. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills - checking email, Outlook, etc.. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a face paced environment. Supervisory: Acts as a team leader, providing functional supervision for other members of the work unit. Does not directly supervise. Must have fewer than seven (7) attendance points (less than 4 points if in a management support position); must have completed probationary period (first 3 months). Cannot have any suspensions less than six (6) months old orwritten warnings less than three (3) months old. Team members who have not completed probation may apply; however, you will only be considered if there are no other eligible applicants. Team Members currently in discretionary positions musthave been in their position for a minimum of 6 months unless bidding to a higher rated/graded position. This position is slated for persons working at this facility. If there are no eligible applicants from this facility, other applicantswill be considered provided they live within a 50 mile radius of the facility.
