GEC Packaging Technologies, LLC Process Manager/Plant Engineer in North Kansas City, Missouri
We're looking for a dynamic, solution-oriented individual to join our team as a Process Manager. This visible role will deliver practical, hands-on training to associates in lean methods and tools to eliminate waste in all administrative, manufacturing and support functions. You will develop and execute strategies to use within our production system that improve overall business results. Successful candidates will have the overall responsibility for coordinating and leading team members to meet or exceed plant and company business objectives.
Develops and deploys demand driven principals and strategies that support operational excellence and long range plans. (Flexibility, Speed & Responsiveness)
Trains, develops, motivates, monitors and leads with an emphasis on championing the goals, objectives and implementation plans relative to the development of the plant processes.
Promotes a continuous improvement focused on the plant manufacturing processes through leadership and direction for the facility teams.
Coordinates process development projects across the enterprise in support of the Production System.
Develops and deploys standard tools, methodologies, standards, practices and processes.
Acts as single point of contact with New Product Development Teams during the development, startup and ongoing production of the plant.
Responsible for using Statistical Process Control Tools to understand and identify opportunities to improve processes.
Develops and improves process for the plant manufacturing environment.
Monitors and facilitates activities surrounding all plant tooling life cycle.
Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably Engineering or Engineering Technology) with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment leading or owning the manufacturing process.
Prior experience utilizing Statistical Process Control Tools to control and monitor processes.
Six Sigma belt preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in implementation of lean principles and improvements.
Proven success working in collaborating to drive common solutions.
Strong project leadership experience with a diversity of team skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and engage teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Strong problem solving skills; the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication competencies.
