Aerotek Process Technician: HIRES IMMEDIETLY, PAYS $18HR in O Fallon, Missouri
Shift : Pertains to each opening, openings on 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts
Location: O'Fallon, MO (further details provided upon application)
Contract : 6 Month Contract-To-Hire (designed to transform into a permanent position)
not guaranteed permanent position, but this is drawn up to become a permanent position. If you can provide a positive impact in the team and follow through on promises from interview, likely will become permanent position
Permanent positions all go through Union, includes PTO, Benefits, and Wage Increases (when transitioned permanent)
We have 3 immediate hire positions that will work in O'Fallon manufacturing facility producing pet food flavoring. This product is formulated by employees following batch sheets and using all necessary manufacturing equipment. The position p r edominantly trains in the Spray Dry department for this role but may cross train in Liquid Process. They will have the following responsibilities:
Spray Dry Operator (Front-End of Process):
2 Positions Open for only 3rd shift
Operate Spray Dryer through automated control panel following procedures and batch sheets.
Connect proper hoses and nozzles to equipment per process guidelines.
Monitor controls through the process to evaporate the water in the product and dry into a powder
Perform mechanical troubleshooting steps to ensure proper operation of equipment.
3rd Shift: 9:45pm-6:15am (Mon-Fri) (2 Openings)
Dry Blend Operator (Back-End of Process):
1 Position Open for any of the listed shift times
Operate bagging machine at end of process.
Attach bag, clamp spout
Feed into the sealing machine
Pick up bags and palletize (up to 55 pounds repetitively)
Use scissor lift to move product to warehouse
1st Shift: 5:45 am-2:15 pm (Mon-Fri)
2nd Shift: 1:45pm-10:15pm (Mon-Fri)
3rd Shift: 9:45pm-6:15am (Mon-Fri)
Liquid Process (May Be Trained On These Duties):
Stage all materials for production runs (may use a forklift)
Take protein source (digestive meat products) and mix into reactors using hoses and piping systems, control panels, etc.
Take staged dry materials (powdered materials - dairy whey, yeast, amino acids, other chemicals) and dump into mixing vessels/reactors according to batch sheet.
Operate sifting machine after reaction stage to remove solid clumped product
(completed) HS Diploma/GED
Must have demonstrated experience (3+ years) working in a medium duty production environment in a manufacturing facility with strong preference a regulated environment following batch sheets (Food, chemical, etc.) Pharma could work
Forklift experience a strong plus
Must be able to read a batch sheet and follow instructions. Basic math skills to make calculations, read and record weights from a scale, understand how to use a control panel.
Must be able to move about the plant consistently and lift over 50 pounds consistently. This is a VERY physical job.
