Kelly Services is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for one of the nation's top eye care companies! This role is 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday and pays $14.00 an hour!
Quality Control Inspector
Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of medical devices, partially assembled or finished medical devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The QC Inspector will have the following responsibilities: Heavy emphasis on Reusable and Disposable anterior instrument inspection, 3-5 years preferred Performs activities to maintain the calibration program under the direction of QC management and per required work instructions and procedures Performs product inspection and testing programs for those needed in receiving, in-process and final inspection of medical devices and components Performs product validation inspection activities as needed Assists in the establishment and update of quality system documentation relevant to the QC dept. as needed. Initiates the processing and control on nonconforming products in accordance with required work instructions and procedures. Assist in the investigation of customer complaints as needed.
Ability to maintain a high degree of ethics, morals, and sense of service to the patient At least 2 years of Quality Inspection experience These occupations usually require a high school diploma. Must be able to perform non-partial disposition Be able to work overtime as needed Must be team oriented and self-directing Attention to detail Good hand eye coordination and mechanically inclined Must be flexible to adapt to change in schedule, conditions and working hours Great attendance and performance COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with other employees of the organization.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

PLANNING Considerable responsibility with regard to general assignments in planning time, method, manner, and/or sequence of performance of own work, in addition, the work operations of a group of employees, all performing basically the same type of work.

Operations requiring intermittent direct thinking to determine or select the most applicable way of handling situations regarding the organization s administration and operations; also to determine or select material and equipment where highly variable sequences are involved.
USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
All employees are required to know how to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
Contacts with other departments or offices and also frequently with individuals in middle level positions; consulting on problems which necessitate judgment and tact in presentation to obtain cooperation or approval of action to be taken.
