Job Title

Sr. Engineer, Risk Ops


Risk Operations provides on-behalf fraud management to a wide variety of MasterCard Issuers (both domestic and international)

We also provide expert consultation across risk-related industry issues

The Senior Risk Analyst will:

oRegularly investigate fraud trends across our portfolio

oDevelop and deploy rules to identify and mitigate fraudulent activity

oPartner with teams across Mastercard to ensure that we daily meet our core values and goals

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of and adept skills in the various risk/fraud products offered by Mastercard.

Stay current with the latest fraud trends, developing proven strategies and nimble tactics for mitigating fraudulent and high-risk activity.

Create relationships of trust with our customers, enjoining professional, informed communication and a strong sense of ownership/accountability.

Support teams within MasterCard from the perspective of fraud and risk mitigation.

Leverage personal skills, fraud/risk systems and new initiatives to mitigate fraud across our customer base.

All About You

Minimum skills must include:

oIndustry fraud mitigation experience (or similar)

oA thorough understanding of Issuer card processing (debit, prepaid, credit)

oFlexible hours to include an after-hours pager rotation

oComfort with technical systems, data queries, MS products, etc€¦

oA high level of organization and prioritization

Desired skills include:

oPrevious experience writing rules in a fraud system (such as Falcon)

oWorking knowledge of SQL

oExpertise in raw data organization and analysis
