Schneider Electric Test Engineer in O'Fallon, Missouri
Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Test Engineer to join Rack Systems in our O'Fallon, Missouri office. The successful candidate will be validating and verifying Edge Computing products, with emphasis on the electronics, switchgear, and refrigeration-concepts. (S)he must have a good working knowledge ofAC/DC circuits, single & 3-phase (600V or less) power systems, and communications concepts (10baseT networks, RS232, CAN, USB).
What the TE will be doing:
Working with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to assure specified product objectives and requirements are met; bring up & debugging of prototypes; driving products into a production-release state and working with the other Test Engineering groups assure products are properly tested in the manufacturing phase.
Interaction with: Electrical Engineer, System Architech, Mechanical Engineer, Compliance, Product Management, Manufacturing and field service.
Tools we use: Block diagramming / 1-lines (Visio), CAD (SolidWorks), SKM Power Tools, Oracle, web tools, 3-phase power generators / loads, precision power meters.
Electronics technical degree and 5+ years experience
Excellent verbal / writing skills
Manage time, priorities, self-guided, fast paced
Hands-on with: circuits, wiring, assembly, testing, and handling of products to form complete solutions.
Nice to have (in order of importance): WW compliance (EMC, safety), WW electrical systems, data center concepts, mechanical design / 3D modeling, NFPA 70E, Arc Fault, HVAC systems.
