Kforce Contract Structural Engineer in Saint Louis, Missouri

Kforce has a client seeking a Contract Structural Engineer in Saint Louis, Missouri (MO).Responsibilities:

  • Lead centralized support role for the implementation of A/C/S standards for all facilities

  • Responsible for the successful development, enforcement and engineering of facility capital projects

  • Lead the development and prioritization of all A/C/S capital projects

  • Mentor internal project teams on all site fabric issues to ensure successful selection and application of A/C/S design and construction activities

  • Ensure site-based project teams consistently follow internal design standards

  • Present all A/C/S projects to senior management for approval

  • Communicate project updates; both for formal and informal meetings

  • Act as owner's representative to ensure overall project integrity is Maintain A/C/S Standards

  • Structural Engineering or Architectural degree or equivalent or related experience and minimum 5 years of experience with food grade manufacturing facilities

  • Architectural/Civil/Structural Construction supervision experience

  • Excellent oral communication and proactive leadership skills - ability to lead team through detailed design to produce results

  • Ability to manage and monitor engineering efforts for multiple projects, validate design constructability and ensure engineering is on-time, in compliance with internal specifications, complete and accurate

  • Ability to interpret, understand, modify and enforce internal design standards and technical provisions

  • Ability to create or modify A/C/S specifications, interface with procurement, and ensure the right materials for the project are utilized

  • Understanding of Building, Fire and Plumbing Codes

  • Understanding of project cost accounting

  • Ability to work with team schedulers and estimators to develop project plans

  • Flexibility to travel up 33%

  • Computer proficiency required (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
