Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
This position is based in our Saint Louis, MO POWER Testing & Energization (PTE) office and the work is located throughout the Midwest region.
Support testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations
Technical and Safety Development
Support the process of Field Reports.
Perform clerical responsibilities such as time cards, expense reports and project reports.
Read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills, and ability to perform mathematical calculations and working knowledge of computer systems microprocessor or relay software and project environment skills.
Administrative software: MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Some experience in managing electrical drawings.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
Minimum of a 3.2 GPA.
Successful completion of junior level courses in power system analysis and/or power system protection is preferred. An emphasis in a power systems option would be a plus.
Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for successful completion of tasks.
Prior internship and/or related engineering experience is a plus.
Students who have passed or are scheduled to take the FE/EIT exam will be strongly considered for this position.
