Kelly Services Electronic Systems Engineer in Saint Louis, Missouri
Kelly Services is currently looking to hire an Electronic Systems Engineer to work for one of our top Medical Device clients on-site in St. Louis, MO for a long-term contract position.
The Electronic Systems Engineer will apply principles of electrical and systems engineering to perform activities in support of the engineering analysis and design of cataract and vitreoretinal ophthalmic surgical equipment and disposables.
This person will be a contributing technical member on product design programs.
Primary activities will include lab support of original electronic designs for ophthalmic surgical equipment, electrical and mechanical design testing, creation of Python scripts to support POC activities, performing product functional analysis and root cause analysis, and providing input to the creation of technical documents including technical specifications and design failure modes and effects analysis.
Support of the mechanical team by writing / executing control algorithms in Python / micro-python and establishing proof-of-concept POC lab configurations of motor drives, controller PCBs, and sensors.
Design, implement, document, and test new electronic product designs. Ensure proper design documentation, and verification testing, is performed.
Maintain existing electronic product designs, implementing revisions as required to support manufacturing or improve product performance.
Work with Operations to ensure the electronic designs are capable of being fabricated on a consistent and repeatable basis.
Required Education: Bachelor of science degree in Engineering, equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred Education: Advanced technical degree preferred.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Python / micro-python, root cause analysis techniques, and technical writing
Required Experience: At least 5 years experience in electronic design.
Preferred Experience: 5+ years of experience electronic design of medical products.
