Job Summary The Facilities Plant Engineer III will provide mechanical, electrical and structural/architectural technical expertise and support related to facility installations and assure compliance with building standards and codes. Job Responsibilities 1 Develop the technical requirements for the estimate, design, procurement, construction, maintenance, and operation of the physical plant and/or equipment installations. 2 Manage internal and external contracted construction resources to complete facility installations on schedule and within budget. 3 Plan, specify, design, and manage projects to fulfill customer requirements. 4 Proactively support maintenance and improve the reliability for assets. 5 Interface with company organizations and suppliers to meet company business requirements. 6 Appropriately apply Federal, State and Local governmental codes. 7 Gather data, identify and document requirements for facilities projects. 8 Maintain, document and verify site utility locations, asset installations, property boundaries and site characteristics. 9 Distribute information consistent with company policies and recognized industry standards. 10 Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of duties. 11 Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications: * BS degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.* 2 years of experience in facilities planning and project management in industrial manufacturing environment* 1 year of Facilities electrical experience/application, with high power experience preferredPreferred Qualifications: * Must have strong personal computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Autocad.* MS Project Manager skills preferred.GKN is an equal opportunity employer.Employer's Job# 2212Please visit job URL for more information about this opening and to view EOE statement.
