DescriptionThe NA iCenter is actively seeking a candidate to fill a Fabrication Technologist position. This individual will execute varied assignments requiring a general familiarity of the technical aspects of mechanical and electrical areas involved with control panels, modular buildings, analyzer systems and process skids. You will be involved in developing solutions of moderate scope and complexity. Solutions developed by a combination of best practices, standard codes and procedures.ResponsibilitiesAs Project Technologist, you will develop cost estimates for control panels, modular buildings, analyzer systems and process skids focusing on the technical aspect of the project scope. You will be involved in the development of designs/specifications of projects with varied complexity with minimal supervision. You will contribute to the execution of these designs/specifications through our manufacturing process. This will include specifying and procuring materials, developing shop drawings/sketches to supplement other project drawings/specifications, interfacing with shop floor personnel to answer/solve technical issues through all stages of production. You will be involved in the testing of the projects at different phases of production, this may include participations in factory acceptance testing with our clients. You will collaborate with our Quality Department personnel in correction action development as it relates to technical aspects of the project production issues. You must be able to:solve problems through the use of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures, or methods developed in previous assignmentscontribute to the review and development of technical processes and proceduresfollow standard codes and procedures to develop cost, and identify risks/opportunities to improve profitability or productivity on projects of moderate complexityinterface with other team members in all technical aspects of project executionutilize tracking tools: spreadsheets or documents to establish continuous improvement in your assigned areas of responsibilityYou will serve as a primary source of technical competency on project cost estimating, design, production and testing.
