Safety Coordinator

The Safety, Health and Environmental Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting Safety Manager as well as other key members of the community of applicable safety, regulatory. This position will be responsible for assisting Safety Manger on standards and functions to reduce and prevent employee injuries, accidents, occupational illnesses and exposure to long-term health hazards, as well as reducing the environmental aspects and impacts associated with the company's operations. The prime objective is to protect and enhance the safety of our employees and our facilities operations environmental footprint and achieving best in class performance through prevention and promoting a culture where safety, health, and environment are a core value.

Responsibilities:

Part time/fulltime, hours between 8-5 pm

1-2 hours per day-

-pick up BSO hardcopies from each department daily

-run BSO electronic report

-populate excel sheet of names (temps updates daily) from submissions

-update excel daily and send email weekly on Mondays

  • Other:

  • Near miss reporting, trending and analysis

  • Track projects list, open audit items and change controls

  • 1-3 hour each day in each dept ? TABS / Liquids ? safety enforcement ? correcting PPE and other plant rules on the factory floor

  • Filing and tracking on spreadsheet - training hours, factory forms, etc.

  • Run reports for required daily forms ?

o Forklifts

o Dust collection

o Haz waste

o Safe starts

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

-High proficiency of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

-High proficiency in outlook (calendar management and how it can be used to manage departmental and individual schedules)

-Very detail-oriented

-Superb communication skills both written and oral

-Team player

-Great organizational skills and ability to follow up

-Positive attitude!

Manufacturing experience a plus.
