Our commitment to quality, safety and sustainability helps us on our path to becoming the type of uniquely human-centered global industrial company that keeps every stakeholder in mind, while helping to make the world better.Position Summary:The Quality Specialist positions inspect and package products and will be capable of and responsible for making any minor, necessary adjustments in the products mechanical working parts, drawers, covers, locking mechanisms as assigned, so as to insure a model product according to specifications and machine operating instructions.Essential Functions: * Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards. * Take an active role in caring for the equipment to prevent breakdowns and defects and help increase overall equipment efficiency through 6S, TPM total productive maintenance, and other Lean Manufacturing initiatives directed by the Sedalia site. * Assembly Quality Specialists shall be capable of performing all of the diversified assembly and erection operations, as well as to assemble intricate large or small mechanical built products of a heavy nature along with meeting satisfactory performance requirements. * Capable of performing said operations to close tolerances and shall inspect units for conformity to quality standards as established for the department as a whole. Inspection is to include paint quality and coverage, component defects and operation of all working parts. * Additional responsibilities include good housekeeping and other assignments as directed by the Supervisor. * The Quality Specialist shall be able to work overtime as requested and posted by management. * Final inspection of units to ensure product conformity to established quality standards. * Reading prints, bills of material and routings. * Completing minor rework. * Completing all assembly tasks required for an Assembler. * Second shift hours are 3:30 pm to Midnight Monday through Friday.Competencies:TeamworkAdaptabilityIntegrityDependability and ReliabilityInitiativeQualifications:Basic computer knowledgeGood manual dexterityAbility to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precisionGood understanding of quality control principlesGood communication skills verbal and writtenExperience and ability in using hand toolsAge 18 years or older56352BRCityEmployer's Job# 56352BRPlease visit job URL for more information about this opening and to view EOE statement.
