Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Rendering General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software, and other software systems, to make work orders and or fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be willing to read, write, and communicate effectively in order to communicate machine readings to proper personnel. Must be willing to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Applicants must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach. Team Members who hold these positions must be willing to work in either cold, damp or hot, humid environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces. Must be willing to lift 60 lbs. climb ladders and work at heights up to and exceeding 30 on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job and be willing to participate in job rotation.

Requirements

One year mechanical experience required, including general knowledge of production machinery operations, maintenance and lubrication. A valid driver license in good standing, able to meet the requirements of Tyson Foods, non-DOT driver qualifications. Must be capable of training in Hi-Tech machinery maintenance and operation. Previous industrial maintenance is preferred and basic industrial electricity is preferred. Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 730 calendar days. No Rehire for former Tyson Team Members that have a work history of 4 times.
