Job Description:

·Under the direction of the Maintenance leadership, this position will focus on the preventative maintenance program that maintains the equipment’s base condition. The person shall have a strong mechanical skill in proper installation and maintenance of power and transmission systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility will be in the Natec Rebuild area, but assigned tasks may vary to other areas of the facility.

  • Execute the assigned preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks to the specification listed on the preventative maintenance task list.

  • Execute welding, machining and fabrication tasks not to include Zone 1 sanitary welding.

  • Execute follow-up work orders for repairs that are found during a preventative maintenance task.

  • Execute root cause failure analysis on equipment breakdowns.

  • Execute the development and provide information to improve the preventative maintenance plans.

  • Execute planned equipment rebuilds/PM activities across the department.

·Execute any recommendation or implementation of continuous improvement on mechanical equipment design to improve line effectiveness & equipment reliability.

  • Support maintenance leadership with equipment bill of materials.

  • Support maintenance leadership with spare parts inventory levels for plant equipment.

  • Support training for other associates (technical or production) as needed.

  • Support and maintain positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors, and 3rd party associates.

  • Support and participant on assigned teams & support team decisions.

  • Support and configure the calibration of all forms of mechanical and pneumatic process equipment.

  • Required to work overtime will be required at times when the workload demands.

  • Required to carry a Kraft issued phone at all times and respond to emergency calls.

  • Required to provide coverage for peers on vacation, training, sick, and meetings.

  • Required to perform all work in accordance to Hotwork Permit and Fire watch regulations.

  • Required to utilize the SAP system to document daily activities.

  • Required to provide written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey ideas/facts clearly and concisely are preferred.

  • Required keyboarding and typing skills with the ability to communicate with Microsoft Office business application software.

  • Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the Springfield QRMP accountability document.

  • Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ documented mechanical equipment, components, and parts that includes a background in industrial mechanical machining.

Physical Requirements:

  • Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, ascending, and descending moves up to 50 pounds; holds and grips object; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.

Working Environments:

  • Primarily indoors in both a hot, humid production environment and cold, cooler environment.

Bidding Requirements:

  • Eligible (per bidding policy) Maintenance associates will be considered first.

  • Current Level 2 and Level 3 in this role will be considered first by seniority. If no Level 2 or Level 3 bids on the job, then a Level 1 will be considered. The Level 1 will be required to obtain the Level 2 skills within 1 year.

  • Production associates must submit an updated resume that includes the required qualifications to the Human Resource Department by the deadline listed below. Those production associates, who do not submit a resume that meets the qualifications above, will not be considered. Qualified production associates will then go through our select interview process.

  • If internal candidates do not meet position requirements, part-time and outside candidates will then be considered.
