AMRI Maintenance Planner in Springfield, Missouri
POSITION PURPOSE :
This position supports the maintenance activities at the plant site by developing and managing an effective Preventative Maintenance program which includes the management of equipment maintenance plans and records, coordinating and organizing maintenance parts inventories, and serving as a maintenance team resource in investigating and resolving maintenance problems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Essential functional duties of the position
Manage the facility's Preventative Maintenance Program:
Maintain PM Schedule using site's CMMS program.
Develop and/or modify PM Program elements as needed.
Track status of all PM Work Orders.
Maintain calibration records for all GMP and regulatory designated instrumentation. All records must be retrievable on demand and with little notice.
Responsible to the Production and Quality Departments in terms of scheduling preventative maintenance and instrumentation calibrations for process systems, and reporting on current status of such systems
Manage the facility's Spare Parts Program:
Maintain a database of all spare parts including storage locations, accurate quantities on-hand, and min/max bin levels.
Source parts as needed, ensuring competitive delivery and pricing.
Manage the facility's Equipment Library:
- Maintain a library of all site equipment including O&M Manuals, spare parts lists and other technical resources. This library is a combination of printed and electronic media.
Coordinate activities with Maintenance Supervisor and Production Personnel:
Accurately communicate PM Program requirements and aid in determination of PM schedule to compliment plant production activities.
Work with Maintenance Supervisor in determination of corrective actions when deficiencies are found through the PM Program.
Support the Facilities and Maintenance staff at times of Maintenance Supervisor absence (such as vacations). Such support includes assisting with making work assignments, tracking work progress, and assessing actions for correcting equipment and system malfunctions and damage
Secondary Responsibilities *
Participate in the Maintenance Training Program:
- Materially participate in the development of training materials and training of Maintenance Personnel.
The following knowledge and proficiency skills are required for this position to be acquired through a minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and four years related experience with industrial maintenance and/or training, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience:
Strong organizational skills - filing, procedures, etc.
Strong communications skills - written and verbal.
Good skills utilizing common computer programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
Ability to develop a working knowledge of less common computer programs such AutoCad and scheduling software (such and Microsoft Project).
Ability to work with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to develop and track PM programs and Work Orders. Previous experience with using SAP modules for this purpose is a plus.
Ability to solve practical problems relating to a variety of manufacturing equipment and systems
Ability to prioritize and manage multiples tasks.
Ability to learn and understand technical specifications and terminology.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals/SOP’s.
Good working knowledge of process equipment used in a chemical manufacturing environment such as pumps, gear boxes, shaft seals, pressure vessels and utility systems.
Good working knowledge of process instrumentation used in a chemical manufacturing environment such as devices for the measurement of pressure, temperature, flow and mass.
