Chestnut ExpresswaySpringfield, Missouri, 65802United StatesCompany: CompanyReq Num: DC_467 Job Description The Senior Director, Operational Quality Assurance provides technical leadership, guidance, and support to DairiConcepts LP manufacturing plants in the areas of Quality Assurance and Food Safety. Ensures compliance to all programs, procedures, applicable regulatory, and customer requirements as well as alignment with overall strategic objectives of the department and the business unit. Drives a culture of Quality and Food Safety. Overall Responsibilities * Provide mentoring, support, and direction to QA Directors. * Work with VP- QA to deliver against Food Safety and Quality strategic goals and improvement plans. Provide direction to assure that the facilities have the systems, knowledge, capabilities, and practices to comply with all internal Quality Assurance and Food Safety policies and procedures in addition to all pertinent FDA, USDA, State, and customer requirements. * Serve as a member of the business unit leadership team. * Interface with facilities, regulatory agencies and customers to address issues identified for improvement or resolution. * Provide timely communication, KPI reports, and written summaries regarding projects, mitigation activities, findings, and compliance to programs/policies short, mid and long-range goals. * Drive Continuous Improvement using Quality Analytics to monitor leading and lagging indicators of Quality and Food Safety. Specific Duties * Business and Operational Partnership Requirements * Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Food Science or Biological Sciences or a related field with a background in Microbiology, Chemistry and Mathematics/Statistics. Master of Science or Master of Business desired. * Minimum of 5 years of food plant experience including knowledge of infrastructure standards, sanitary design principles, food safety and quality standards. * Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience successfully leading teams * Minimum of 10 years of Quality Management/Food Safety related leadership. * Experience with regulatory, third party, and customer auditing and leading teams in mitigation activities. * Basic knowledge of environmental regulations is desired. * Knowledge in microbial risk assessment, mitigation of bacteria. Titles Reporting to this Position * Director- Quality Assurance Licensing and Certification * GFSI SQF Practitioner * Prefer CQA through ASQ or equivalent Physical Demands and Work Environment * The ability to travel to multiple locations to perform work that may require walking, standing for long periods of time and/or climbing in wet, hot, cold or dusty environments.
